Time slow down

Mommy and daddy have been chatting the past couple weeks about converting Evs crib to the next step convertible crib/bed. It was brought up again Thursday, how we were going to look into bumper rails, measurements and child safety for Evs bed, and low and behold daddy comes up the steps with the next new piece for the crib. My heart sunk, as I realized this was going to happen today, and she was another step closer to moving into toddlerhood. I wasn't ready, I needed mental preparation, I needed more time seeing that precious baby crib, and what I really needed was time to slow down, and freeze, so that I could clinge onto my baby. Well daddy knew what needed to be done, and if it were up to mommy, Evs probably would be in elementary school, still sardined into a baby crib. Down came the high rails, and on went the new piece. Now mommy had tears filling her eyes, a bit of a heavy feeling in her heart, and a case of the dizzies. One more step to a becoming a big girl, and this big girl was all too eager to hop right in her new sleeping arrangement.
Sleeping beauty in her crib. And yes, I creep into her room, especially when I get home from work at night, gaze at her, thank god for her, and often take pics of her when she sleeps! She is addicting.
See you later baby bed.

Helping daddy
One little monkey jumping on the bed.
Finished product complete with rail pads, so Everlee doesn't bump her head, face, mouth, and so she doesn't roll out of bed. Also helps mommy ease into this transition ;)
First night sleep in the bed=success! Girl likes to be right up against the bed and padding, always has. Doesn't she look like a 12 year old in this bed ;)
Took 2 naps getting used to the freedom of her bed. She had fun crawling in and out, turning on the heater and night light, and throwing her Lovey and binky in and out of the bed. After about 15 mins of play time, and watching her in the monitor, she put herself into bed and crashed. Naptime today, she instantly fell asleep, with no shenanigans. What an easy transition for her. Let's see how she does when we say bye bye to her binky. That one may not be so easy :-/
