Happy Birthday Daddy!

Happy Birthday to the man who makes us the happiest girls on the planet! Thank you for your love, laughter, hard work, and dedication to our family.  You prove that the manliest of men can be tender hearted, let their guard down, be vulnerable, silly, sensitive, and emotional. We love you for exactly who you are, and for how much you love us. What a role model our daughter has for a father. You have set the bar incredibly high for the standards Everlee deserves in life. We love you more than you will ever know, and more than words can ever express. Thank you for contributing to our fairy tale. We are still living Happily Everlee After, and love every moment of it :)
Cheers!!! But not sure this was the kind of role model I was speaking of ;)

5 months old

Our pride and joy turned 5 months old yesterday! She continues to astound us on a daily basis, and we couldn't be more proud of our sweet, happy, and smart baby girl! Accomplishments the past month include rolling over from stomach to back, back to stomach, becoming more precise with her hands, standing non stop with assistance, napping in her crib for a total of an hour a day now, as opposed to her usual 30 mins, holding a conversation, developing a fake cough to get your attention, and as of the past few days, sitting up by herself, for a minute or two at a time. She's growing up so fast! As always we look forward to seeing what the next month will bring us.

Golden Birthday!

On September 13th Zella turned a youthful 13 years old!
(91 in dog years for the math impaired)

She has been a wonderful staple in our family since the day we rescued her from a van owned by Crazy Mary. We have a lot of good memories with her, especially pheasant hunting as she constantly impressed me with her intelligence in the field.

She loves to lay next to Everlee and she seems to understand that we don't always have enough attention to go around, but she knows how happy we are.

She might be losing her marbles, but the memories we have with her far outweigh the fact that she likes to get up in the middle of the night and wander around the house aimlessly.

Pretty Comfy

Chillin in her Bumbo earlier this week

This morning someone soaked her diaper, and our sheets, while we were having our morning snuggles. She fell asleep during her diaper change, and I didn't have the heart to redress her, let alone move her. Needles to say, mommy worked  right by her side, while she was cozied up in our blankets.
Pretty sure she thinks she's got it made sleeping in Mommy and Daddy's bed. Hopefully she doesn't get used to this big comfy sleeping arrangement, cuz sleeping in our space, just isn't an option. Poor daddy would literally be kicked out of bed with us two karate chics thrashing around :)

Fun stuff.

Thanks to our neighbors Dan and Jessi we found a toy that Everlee can stand and jump and play in. Looks like fun, right?

Ummmmm.... What?

Almost done...

Now it's done.

4 months and growing...well kind of ;)

Everlee had her 4 month Dr appt this week and it was a rough visit. Sweet Pea had to get 4 shots, and they did not treat her, or mommy, well this time around. Its just heart breaking seeing your daughter endure any kind of pain :( Usually Everlee is so happy, and content, but these dang shots have her fussy, all out of sorts, and completely sleep deprived. The silver lining in all of her discomfort, is that when she's not wailing, she is super snugly.
Below are LIL Peanuts stats:

Weight: 13 lb 7 oz=26%
Head : 16 1/4 inches =61% (still rockin the Kneifl melon)
Height: 23 1/2 inches=6%

She may look like her daddy, but is a little dink just like her momma.
Milestones that have been accomplished the past month include the following: non stop standing with assistance, picking up objects and properly putting them in her mouth, rolling over from tummy to back, napping in her crib, more and more smiles, followed by deep belly laughs, cranking her strong neck to follow her favorite sounds, playing with her feet and toes, and cackling when she's excited, or wants your attention. Can't wait to see what the next month holds for our smart little girl .

Labor Day and Anniversary Weekend

We kicked off Labor Day weekend with some tailgating and the Isu game on Saturday. While the Clones didn't pull off a Victory, we were the real winners having Everlee join us for her first Isu tailgate.
Tutu created by Everlee and her nanny Kenzie during arts and crafts afternoon.

Sunday morning Everlee was completely fascinated, and perplexed by Steve's morning do. Pics don't do the bed head creation justice.....lets just say it was a hair raising experience. Everlee's facial expressions had us roaring in laughter.
Everlee much happier after Steves shower, and his do was back to normal :-)
Sunday afternoon we headed down to Lake Rathbun in the RV to celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary. This anniversary was beyond special, as we had baby girl with us celebrating. We had so much fun watching our little girl splash around the campgrounds indoor water park , and shriek with excitement, as she watched other children playing in the water. She was so sweet and friendly, and wanted to socialize with the big kids, that it warmed our hearts seeing her so happy.
After swimming we cleaned up, took a bit of a breather, and enjoyed a lovely dinner at the resorts restaurant. While I'm sure there will come a time when we will be ready for some one on one time on our Versary, we couldn't imagine leaving baby girl behind. She just makes us so gosh darn happy!!
We were welcomed home from our family celebration, with some beautiful artwork , done by the one and only Marissa Miller. It was a Happy Anniversary drawing! What an adorable gesture from our neighbors two doors down. After admiring her family portrait, we joined our "besties", as Marissa calls us, at Big Creek. The babes stayed in the strollers and enjoyed the fresh air, while the boys and Marissa, swam and cooked
lunch. It was the perfect way to end a memorable weekend, and Everlee is still recovering from all the activity.
