Mars mud.... What?!??

On the way out of the science center, Eva really wanted to pick out a special gift to take home. As we are walking around, she bullets over to a bin and containers of various clays, slimes, doughs, and putties. She immediately says "Mom look it's Mars mud!" I had no clue what she's talking about, and asked her what it was, and where she had seen it. Her response was on the iPad over magi clip princesses. I thought this was a joke, and sure enough, girls was right. Should have known better then to doubt her ;) She was so excited, and wanted to bring it home and play with it immediately.
When she woke up from her brief nap, the first thing she wanted was her mars mud. Here was her reaction when she opened, and touched the sticky slimey goo.
Not sure about the cold gelatinous texture.

Science center

This particular Wednesday Everlee couldn't get enough of the bubbles. Think of I would have allowed it, she would have crawled right in the tub!
And then she surprised me with her bravery. Proud of her for overcoming her apprehension, and putting her fears aside.
Some kind of yellow snake. Mommas food with staying back, and snapping some pics.
On the way home she said she was exhausted. Take note of the death grip on her special gift from the science center.

Mani at mommy's salon

After gymanstics, we had to run up to Ames last week, and  I was able to give Everlee a quick express mani. It will be fun as she gets older to get our nails and toes done. For now, a 5 min polish will suffice.

And even more valentines

Every day for this girl is like a holiday. It doesn't seem like a day goes by that daddy, mommy, Brigett, and grandma coco aren't giving Everlee a special treat, or surprise! Whether it's called spoiling, or simply seeing pure delight in a child's eyes, it's completely joyous and rewarding. I Don't believe you can over spoil, as long as there is a balance of waiting for SOME things, and earning SOME things. This girl will have to wait, and earn, her share of things, like $150.00 jeans and boots, just like her mom and aunts.  But for now we are getting by cheap. A .98 donut, a $1.00 jar of flarp, and a $7.00 magi clip doll, she's not breaking the bank.....yet;)
This tradition brings weekly excitement to both Evs and I. It's gotten to the point when daddy walks through the door in the morning, no matter which day it is, Evs will ask"daddy do you have donuts for us?" He knows the the way to his girls hearts, and we appreciate his efforts every week!
A sneak peek at one of the gifts she wanted so badly, and she's bashfully giddy.
Thank you Gma coco for the movie, and leotard, Everlee was extatic. And thank you for carrying on traditions, gifts, and the little things that you did for Jules and Jon, and now including Everlee. You always get it just right!!
And that's it for this Valentine's Day. Until next year, or tomorrow ;)

Valentine's party

Last Friday Evs had her preschool valentines party, and wow was it a busy day. I picked her up from preschool, came home, had a quick nap, woke up our girl, and headed back to preschool for the celebration. It was so special to have daddy join us, and to watch Everlee interact with her classmates, and enjoy the special day! I love being able, for not only myself to attend these parties, but for daddy to attend as well. Means a lot to us girls, that he takes time out of his busy work schedule, to support his daughter, and her activities.
Prepping Valentine's Day cards for her classmates.
Party time!!!
Then after her party, we celebrated Brigett's birthday at fuzzy tacos, and then dessert at Hollies! What a yummy evening! Thank you Gramma K for the delicious eats, and treats.

Latte time

Evs insisted on having a latte(aka whip cream) for her special treat the other day, and I was happy to oblige :-P
And this face is exactly why!

Peace out

Evs and I both rocking some headwear. One of us kept ours on wayyy longer than the other did;)

My Valentines

There are some days I don't think my heart can handle how cute these two are together. I love them, and their tender, fun, sweet relationship! Everlee is so very fortunate to have a daddy that spends such quality time with her, a man who adores her, protects her, makes her feel safe, and a man who shows her what love is all about.
Seriously, how sweet are they?!?!?
