Game changers!

Cruising with daddy, lovin the forward facing seat for the first time.
Game changer #1.

With the addition nearly complete, I got to move a ton of stuff down to my brand new "shed". (most expensive shed EVER)

Completely clutter free 3rd stall with new loft and motorcycle parking area.
Game changer #2.

Everlee thinks it's her personal indoor scooter race track.

New room

Evs thinks the new room off of the master bedroom is her own personal playroom. She loves running at top speed, twirling, rolling, and strolling her baby around. Think she may be a little bummed when we get furniture in there.
1 2 3 gooooo!
And she's off

Corn on the cob

Finally the Iowa sweet corn is firm, sweet and maturing. It is so yummy!
First bite of good ole Iowa sweet corn.
Big girl had to do it herself.
The loose kernels were a bit bothersome to her. When Miss particular noticed one, it had to be pulled off. She's so funny.
So good she has it twice this week.
Can you blame her? :)

Goose Egg

Poor Evs had a rough Sunday. She was running at full speed, tripped over the rug by the front door, and cracked her noggin on the corner of the wall. Instantly a bruise and large goose egg appeared. Felt so bad for her.
You can see the line in the center of her bruise where she smacked into the wall:(
Big huge thanks to Aunt Hollie for the advice, tips, words of comfort, and for checking in on us that night. Helped this nervous momma relax a bit more.
Then on Monday, poor girl ran into her wall in her room, hit just above the bruise, then fell face first in the grocery store, and hit the same darn bruise. This kiddo has one speed, and one speed only, and it's turbo! Know there's many more of these bumps and bruises to come. Glad I could be there to comfort, and snuggle her.

We're Going to the Zoo, Zoo, Zoo

On Friday the Kneifl family and the Miller family loaded into the RV, and headed to the Des Moines Zoo. It was a toss up who was more excited, mommy and daddy, or Everlee. When we would ask Evs if she was excited to go to zoo, she would scream back YEAH!!! Sometimes she would throw her hands up in the air while yelling this, and sometimes she would run as fast as she could shouting YEAH!! This outing to the zoo is something we have been looking forward to taking our children to, for a long time.

Loaded up and ready to go! Evs now seems to be more interested in Maci's cracker.
Family pic upon arrival.
So happy !
Had to take a picture of the goat that was named Brenda. When I sent this pic to Brenda, she was less than thrilled that she was named after a frickin goat (that's the pg version) ;)
Practicing her fishy face, as we fed the fish.
Roaring to the lions.
And this was supposed to be naptime, but we bypassed that for family time. Notice how slapstick and deliriously wacky she is. We paid for skipping that nap the rest of the weekend.
Ride on the Trolly to end our day. As an employee of Union Pacific, Danny wanted to make sure the train and track were up to par;)
Daredevil over at Miss Maci's.
Nothing like some good ole fashioned wrestling, tackling, and then believe it or not, Evs is giving Maci a kiss in the last one, to end such a memorable day. Can't wait to take Evs back again!!

Outdoor Fun

Everlee set up a picnic for us on the deck. She gathered up the pieces from her picnic set and we ate some very tasty plastic food together.

Then, some water table fun.

...and for the grand finale, a little game she calls Bye Bye. She opens and shuts the screen door and tells me bye bye Da Da (about 1000 times).

Back inside and getting ready for bed watching some Baby Einstein. Such a sweet girl. We have so much fun together.

Coops B Day Celebration

We had a great time celebrating cousin Coopers birthday on Saturday! Everlee was in her element with all of the activity, and wanted to keep up with the big kids.
Trying to catch some air on the trampoline. We thought we were going to get her an indoor trampoline for Christmas, but looks like only the big one will do. True to the family motto"Go big or go home."
These two little monkeys are just a joy to watch together! Cooper is so sweet and tender with Everlee. When the bouncing got a bit extreme for her liking and Evs would fall, Coop would help her up. He takes care of his baby cousin, and she adores him for that, and so many other reasons. I love that these two are so close, and will be in the same grade together.
The big kids would blow the bubbles, and Evs would pop them.
Swing!! Seeing your child continuously smile, and listening to her deep belly laughs, is probably the best feeling in the whole entire world <3
Short hat, and Sunday sillies with Poppa Rich and Grandma Lee Ann.
