Let's get cookin'

Mommy and Everlee have had a productive morning getting ready for the holiday weekend. It's so rewarding to spend time in the kitchen with baby girl! I look forward to years and years of creating special memories in the kitchen with our daughter.
Getting our ingredients at the store. No more car seat!! Big girl is sitting in the cart all by herself!

Ready to start baking.

Wait a minute, does this spice go with daddy's black velvet?? Think she may have a good idea. Little dash of this, little dash of that, and then a little nip off the ole bottle for momma ;-)
Baking Is soooooo fun, and yummy!! I even got to lick the pumpkin off the spatula!! Can't wait to help bake some more goodies!!

7 months old

Yesterday was Everlee's 7 month b day, and she was one happy girl!!

This is the exact newborn - 3 month outfit we brought her home from the nicu in!! Still fits dinky do, but instead if pants, they are now capris :)
Fun things Everlee has been doing this month include lots of crafts with nanny Kenzi and friend Maci, exploring new fruit and veggie purees, constant moving and exploring, sleeping in her big girl bed(when she actually decides she wants to sleep) and mimicking lots of sounds she hears mommy and daddy make.
She is such a fun little peanut, and she keeps us busy non stop, but we wouldn't  have it any other way!! She is our everything, and she completes us.

Sleepless Beauty

Hi my name is Everlee Rose Kneifl, and i do not like to sleep. I woke from my nap at 1:30 yesterday afternoon, and did not go to sleep until 12:45 am. Yup I was up for 11 hours, and was one happy girl. I don't like to miss a beat, and require minimum sleep. It's a good thing I'm so darn cute, cuz boy oh boy I like to challenge my parents, and keep them on their sleep deprived toes!

Midnight....does she look tired?!???

12:30 am, and she's still lookin to paaaaaartaaaayyyy!!

Such a fun week

Rockin new boots from Kenzie! Finally a pair that actually fit dinky dos teeny tiny feet!

Apparently Everlee is quite the crafter. And, extremely particular and proper when it comes to her design work.
Hanging out at our parents friend Sarah's house, with my bestie Maci, while our moms and dads watch the Cyclones. You can tell Sarah dressed Maci that morning, because Maci's momma wouldn't put her in those colors when the clones play :)
Being Isu fans this season is absolutely exhausting!
I know I look cute in black and gold, but sorry Sarah, I'm not converting!

Food, glorious food!

Well it has been just over a week since Everlee has been eating yummy big girl food. The day she had her first spoonful of food was bittersweet for mommy, because for just over 6 months Everlee has only had breast milk. I love that we have both worked so hard, and overcome many obstacles to maintain this special bond. I love that I am able to produce and provide her with the healthiest nutrients possible. I love that we have moments throughout the night, together that leave us both feeling fulfilled, and satisfied.  I love that when I look at every delicious pudgey roll on our daughter, that my human body contributed to her well being. I am proud of our dedication and determination, and I am thankful for a supportive husband, family, and friends who have allowed Evs and I make it this far. There have been moments of tears, pain, frustration and complete exhaustion, but the positivity and encouragement keeps us chugging (literally) along. With that said, here are pics of baby girl eating homemade and organic food that has been made by mommy. Oh and not to forget daddy, he helped do some stirring during the making process :)
Very first bite of food. Sweet potatoes! Not so sure about this sensation.

Yummmmmm! I'm kinda liking this guys!
I can do it myself!
Ok, I got it!

First food experience=success!
Applesauce with daddy. New texture and flavor!
Big girls turn .
Avocados!!

Bananas!!!!
Her favorite so far, bananas!!!! Everlee couldn't get enough! Her legs were kicking like crazy, and I couldn't get the next spoonful into her mouth fast enough! Looks like she may have her mommas sweet tooth, and her daddy's ravenous appetite. At times they both eat so fast, that neither one of them chew their food ;)
