Play date with the big girls

Friday after Everlee's nap, my business partner brought over her 12 year old and 7 year old girls, who have been just begging to have an afternoon with Evs. They were both like little mommas with her, and it was so sweet to see them so tender, nurturing, and engaging. Everlee thought these two were the cats meow, and Evs thought she was pretty cool playing with the big girls. Wow did I get a glimpse into our future of what having a pre teen will be like. The 12 year old Sofia, said things like "everyone else has them" " I'm the only one in my class that doesn't have them" and it took me back to my teens and wanting my first pair of guess jeans. It had me wondering what Everlee will be just dying to have. Probably won't be Guess jeans like mommy wanted, probably won't be Ugg boots that Sofia wanted, but it will definitely be something she wants so badly , and of course we will hear how shes so uncool and she's the ONLY one who doesn't have something. Funny how some of those things never change. Just the materialistic trendy items, and maybe the verbiage a bit;) I'm sure we will hear it all, and it may be followed with an eye roll and whatever. Right Mom ??? ;)

New babysitters??? Maybe in a couple of years. What a fun afternoon!
