Camping

Over Memorial Day we packed up the rv, and headed out camping. Rich and I were hopeful that this would be the year Evs would sleep so soundly thru the night, in her own bunk. We figured she would be exhausted from all of the activity, and crash the entire night. Wrong.
Friday into Saturday morning it was the same shenanigans as last year, just a lot more words involved. From 3:30 am to 5:50 am, the three of us covered what seemed like every topic under the sun, and were also utilized as jungle gyms. Finally after almost 2 1/2 hours, Evs slept, and we did not. Sleeping with your toddler in between you, in the form of the letter H, is less then comfortable.
After morning wake up, it was beautiful outside, so Evs took full advantage of family playtime at the campground. Think she would have been ready for a nap, but nope, just some quiet down time chillin in the rv. Then more playing, ice cream, and night night. Well she insisted on sleeping in our bed, which lasted until 2 am. We all were uncomfortable in such a cramped space. Evs was transferred to her bunk, where she slept til 8:00. Sunday was cool, rainy, and confined to the rv. We packed up a day early, and headed home to get sleep, and somewhat of a routine back. Yes this mom is anal, into structure, and into a routine. Helps keep my sanity, work life, and home life run smoothly. So after some long naps, and sleeping in our own beds, we fell back into our groove. Thank goodness. Felt like we had a newborn again for those two nights, and realized how much we appreciated sleep. Fun weekend, fingers crossed one of these days Evs will be able to sleep they the night camping.
Chocolate ice cream faces
Snuggles, goofiness, and red head cousin bonding time.
Running, and racing when it's rainy outside.
Dozing off driving home from the campground, all while eating a chip. Deliriously tired girl.

More science center

Everlee patiently waited to have a seat, and turn the wheel to the conveyor belt. You can see the excitement in her face when it was finally free, and she snagged the seat.
This is her stink face to the boy that was invading her personal space, and infringing with her steering wheel time. What I didn't capture, was the stiff arm that followed ""the look"
Another educational, and fun day at one of Everlees favorite places.

Valley junction farmers market

We packed up the Dodge with Brigett in the passenger's seat, and headed to Valley Junction to check out cousin Tyler selling Deadeye BBQ Sauce amongst a sea of vendors. We had a great time walking around and seeing everything. Lots of good food and interesting crafts. The weather was perfect... and the food tasted really good in the great outdoors (concrete jungle).

Everlee wanted to get tatted up first. A pink star was her choice.

$6 Fruit cup after a cheese quesadilla.

We ended our supper with a home baked chocolate chip cookie from Gammy's Cookies... and we even saved half for Mommy!

Time to head home with full bellies and our shades on.

Boobies

Everlee is at that age where she is very intrigued by boys and girls anatomy, particularly boobies, and nipples. Evs understands that boys have nipples, and girls have boobies. With that being said, Rich and I were watching one of our guilty pleasures, my 600lb life, when out walks a very, very large man. Everlee states that is a boy on TV, then questioningly says"boobies? Boy with boobies?" She was so confused, and rich and I were dying laughing at her confused comment/question. In the picture below, you can see how she would be a bit perplexed by what she saw.
Not poking fun at this gentlemans weight, but Everlee's comments and questions had us cracking up. Oh jeez, this kiddo doesn't miss a beat, and is always keeping us on our toes:)

Shirt hat

Everlee throughly enjoys her hats. This particular morning she was being silly and running around with her "shirt hat".
She looked in the mirror, saw the sleeves hanging down and said " momma ponies". Too funny!

This mothers, Mother's Day

Mother's Day weekend kicked off bright and early Friday with gorgeous flowers delivered to the house! Everlee did such good job picking out such beauties, and her card was lovely. Then when Evs woke up, I found a thoughtful, sweet, and perfect card of flowers painted by Evs, and given to me by Brigett! I loved going into her room Friday morning, and seeing this awesome surprise in her dresser! Thanks Brigett for thinking of me.
Friday afternoon I got my mothers day gift, and as always, it was very well thought out. Daddy and Evs got me(and us) an ice cream maker! Yummo!
When daddy asked Evs what kind of ice cream she wanted to make me, she said strawberry. So strawberry ice cream was made, frozen over night, and enjoyed after breakfast :)
It's cold-Ice cream headache!!!
Saturday we spent the afternoon at The Smiths, along with poppa and gramma k, and the DeVos family. We had a great night, and as always Evs was in heaven over at the Smiths, playing with her cousins. Thanks for having us over.
Sunday we woke up to daddy cooking us a special breakfast! He is such a good cook, and we have gotten super spoiled with this Sunday morning tradition. We had a relaxing day of simply being together, laughing, fishing, going to the park , and loving one another.
Being a mom, working, and being a business partner, is hard work. Somebody always seems to be needing something from you. Work doesn't just stay at work, and there are times when you don't know how to balance the three, how much more you can do, or how much more you can give. I think, how can I meet everyone's needs, and feel like I have some me time..... Wait what is that;) I realize that as mom's, we somehow manage to just get S$@T done.
I look at Everlee's beautiful face, her toothy smile, feel her touch, hear her say thank you, or I love you, watch her do something super hilarious, do something somewhat cantankerous, and everything is right in my world. I waited 9 years for this miracle, and being a mom is all about sacrifices.
We typically put ourselves last, and our children and husbands needs way before ours. I am happy to do so every day, and kudos to all of the moms out there doing the same, and more! Being a mommy is the hardest job/responsibility/thing I have ever done. But gosh darn it, it is the most rewarding, and it completes me. I love that little girl, and am so proud to be her mommy. Mommy-a word I will never grow tired of hearing:)
Thank you to my hubby for understanding me(as much as you can understand a girl), my wants, my needs, my appreciation for our time together, and for making this day special.
