Everlee had a very stable night and digested all of her food at each feeding. They are bumping her next feeding (noon) up to 20 ml for a couple meals, and if she tolerates it, they are going to 25 ml for the evening.
Her oxygen was turned down to 21% with her taking 2/3 of her breaths on her own. She didn't get as angry while mommy held her today, and remained calm the entire time we were there. We are spending more time there in the morning and afternoons, because we get to hold her and assist in her cares.
You'll notice that I (Richard Lee) took on the daily tasks of her cares, by taking her temperature and performing a diaper change with the Occupational Therapist looking on. If anyone is into math, that means that I have officially changed twice as many diapers as my dad.
Proof:
Question: How can ONE diaper change be twice as much as another diaper change?
Answer: Because he only changed 1/2 diaper. He took it off and it never made it back on.
Result: Father of the Year 1975?
Probably.
Our First family pictures...
1975...that was my *ss not getting a diaper back on. Good thing he turned out to be a terrific Grandpa:)
ReplyDeleteI'm typing Old Skools rebuttal due to him not having an account to sign in. Here it goes: old skool diaper changing 101, remove outfit, remove rubber pants, remove 2 safety pins (caution: they can draw blood from fingers), remove cloth diaper, rinse diaper in toilet, put diaper in diaper pail (caution:diaper pail smell can bring a lumber jack to his knees), wash front, back, bottom and legs, dry, put Johnson's baby oil everywhere, redress, pray mother gets home from mall or spa soon. OLD SKOOL diaper change: 10,000 points; slip on Pamper: 1 point. Do the math, duh
