5/1 Afternoon Update

Everlee took very well to the 20 ml of food this afternoon, so those will continue. They extubated her in the early afternoon and she was breathing fine on her own for close to an hour. Then, she started to labor with her breathing and her SAT (Oxygen Saturation) levels dropped. This was caused by swelling in her throat, and the Doctor didn't know the exact reason. They put a smaller tube back in, gave her a steroid for the swelling and she leveled out very quickly. They have an E.N.T. coming in tomorrow to find out why. So, we will know more after he takes pictures of what's going on down there.
