Everlee has been asking to get her ears pierced for awhile now, and the time was right. We took her to the mall, and an experienced(11years) lady was working. Initially we were just "looking", and if someone older than a16 year old was working, that had pierced more than an ear or, we were piercing her ears. So thankfully someone who has worked at Claire's for a long time, was able to help us. We trusted our gut, and asked evs if she wanted to get her ears pierced. Pretty sure she was in a state disbelief, perhaps a bit of fear too, but she immediately answered yes!
She got to pick out her own earrings, and naturally picked out the shiniest, biggest, most expensive pair(girls got good taste). I was shocked when I heard the price. In my mind ear piercing was going to cost $20.00, considering back in the day I think it cost $12.99. So naturally I knew it would cost more. But not $40.00 more! Dang, girl does have expensive taste, and this momma needs to get with the times. Of course I wasn't going to tell her no, she couldn't have Jose earrings, and of course if they are good quality, and make her happy , I'm all for it. She listened intently on her care instructions, and was ready!

Excited

anxiously and nervously waiting

oh the anticipation

thought this was maybe when we were going to see some tears. But she took a deep Breath, was tough, and said it didn't hurt ;)

Happy

sucker time

see that owl right there? They said Evs got to pick one out for getting her ears pierced! Cool right? It was an additional $7.99 ear piercing cost, not free. So of course she says this in front of everlee, and of course I buy it for her. Jeez Louise, imma have to take out a loan to pay for this experience ;)
After we were done, grandma coco and Poppa treated us to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. Thanks for the drinks, dinner, dessert, and for joining us. I have a feeling poppas credit card got more of a work out that night, than mine;)
