Last Wednesday was Everlee's first day of cheer, and she was like a kid Christmas Eve. She was so excited, and couldn't wait to get to class. We left 20 minutes early for our 10 minute jaunt to Koach cheer, we wanted to arrive plenty early. Now we have been to Koach once for Chloe's fundraiser, I knew the street, what the Morton building looked like, but I sure as heck couldn't find it amongst the other Morton buildings. There was no signage on the street for it, no signage on the building for it, and when I was st my wits end, plugged it in to my gps. Well that took me on a wild goose chase and kept sending me past the building(shocking that gps would do that, right Poppa k?). So after numerous phone calls to Koach(I have never spoken with a human, they do not answer a phone) I went to their website and saw that they were located next to a business I had driven by at least 6 times. Ok we found it, I think. There were no cars in the parking lot, so I walked up to the door, and there was Koach's name in the door in white decals. Nice visable signage(insert eye roll )Ok were are here, why is the door locked??? So once again I call, no answer, so I email and ask if I missed something. Sure enough 5 minutes later I get a response that class was cancelled due to power outage and coldness. Mmmmkkkkk. That was nice to know 21 minutes AFTER class started. So this mom frustrated mom gathered her composure, went to my zen place, and comforted a sobbing, devasted red head. We chatted about the outsge(made her feel zero better) went home watched a bit of a movie, and then became chef and sous chef in the kitchen. We whipped up some amazingly crunchy( may have been a few egg shells in there)banana bread, and out in our own cheer practice at home. We shall meet again next week Koach, under better circumstances:);)
This sadness crushed me, I felt terrible, and completely helpless.
Spending time together cooking, laughing, singing, and eating, made it better:)
