Uggggghhhhhh to see your tough girl scared, nervous, and teary eyed is so difficult! The feeling of releasing her into someone else’s control and protection, is scary. All The things that go thru a mommas head when she sees this sadness, made me want to yank her right out of that school, keep her by my side, safe and comfortable, and home school!
Then the rational, non emotional, factual momma stepped in, put on as much of a brave face as I could thru tear filled eyes, and told my first born to go get ‘em, be the best Everlee, student, and friend she could be, and have such an exciting first day. I would anxiously greet her with open arms at the end of her first day!!!
