It was such a wonderful day all the way through. It was nice to have a good experience on the actual birth day of a child. We heard her cry right away, I got to cut the cord, we held her, and she ate like a total champ from the get go.
Our family members who are caring for Everlee during this time also make this process enjoyable. Knowing she's in good hands helps us focus on Eden and her needs. The visits and gifts are very much appreciated. Our family and friends are truly the best.
Whenever I hear the words "father of two" it brings an incredible amount of joy to my heart. Our attending nurse called Eden "A wild one". This little peanut is joining a family where she'll fit right in. :-)
I'm so excited for the sibling interaction and can't wait too see the similarities and differences between our two daughters.
I just feel so lucky knowing I get to watch Everlee and Eden develop right alongside the love of my life.
How does life get any better than this?
