Weekend fun

What a fun weekend we had!! Saturday we joined the Smith and DeVos clan for some pizza, swimming, and Saturday evening music and festivities, at Ankeny Unplugged. 

Finally got to experience lunch with these two. Hollie is so right, Coops is done at lightening speed, and Evs eats, plays, jabbers, and picks.

Sunday night Grandpa Greg and Grandma Jan came over for play time, and treated us to yummy BBQ. Thanks for dinner. We are glad to have you back for the summer!

Apparently Everlee had such a busy weekend, that when she woke Monday morning, she was starving, walked to the pantry, and helped herself to a pre breakfast snack. 

Painted piggies!!

Everlee's painted toenails!! Painting an active 1 year olds toenails is quite a task. Thankfully I can paint them while she's distracted in her high chair, chowing down on food.

Dinner time shenanigans.

Everlee would offer me one of her puffs, then pull it away and eat it. I would say "Heeeeyyyyyy" and the belly laughs would begin. Repeat for 20 rounds.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to this man who unconditionally gives his everything to his daughter on a daily basis. The relationship these two have is full of so much love and admiration, it's beautiful to watch evolve. 

Everlee wanted you to know a few things: 

she can't wait to see you every morning, and she loves walking out of her room shouting da da, and looking for her favorite man. 

She misses you when you go in to the office, but knows that's your job, and you work so hard to give her the life she wants and deserves. When you arrive home from work, and she hears you come into the house, her heart skips a beat, and she can't break away from what she's doing fast enough to come greet you. 

Your big warm hugs she receives, make her happy, and feel safe. She trusts, and knows, that you will always be there for her, and protect her. 

The quality time you two share together while mommy is at work, means so much to her, and shows her how loving, patient, and important she is to you. 

You are a wonderful example of how a man should treat a woman, and she knows she will settle for nothing less. You set the bar high, are such a great role model, hero and idol. 

Everlee loves you more than she can say right now, but her happiness with her daddy, shines through every moment of the day. There is no denying, this little girl is beyond crazy about her dad. She knows the feeling is reciprocated. 

Thank you for always being there for me DaDa, and for always lifting me up. I know I can count on you to do this throughout my entire life. 

Also Happy Father's Day to our fathers, father figures, brothers, and brother in laws! May you enjoy your day that is filled with love, and lots of wonderful memories. XOXO

Park adventure.

Everlee loved our outdoor play time this evening at the park. A quick wagon ride down and the good times were rolling. 

She had a lot of interest in the wood chips. She would bring me a handful and say "thank you". Then she would walk around and explore and even made her way through the tunnel.
