Memorial Day weekend

It was time to officially break in our new RV, and I don't know who was more excited for a long weekend outside, Daddy or Everlee. The three of us packed up and headed out to Waukee, to join The Smith family, and The DeVos family. Both of these families had new camping rigs that were tested out this weekend as well. It was great that us big kids got to spend time together( when was the last time that actually happened), let our hair down, be silly, a bit gross, and be kids ourselves again. All while the little kids played, explored, and created such fun memories together.
 "Glam-ping" ;)
Evs first birthday gift that Poppa Rich picked out for her! Perfect!
Time to check out the campground with Uncle Steve. I love this pic!
The first of many wagon rides given by Aunt Brigett.
Breakfast shenanigans.
Oh poor Elmo!  I think I actually hear Steve gagging while looking at this ;)
This is the window in Everlee's bunk. Instead of sleeping, it was much more fun to knock on the window, mash her face into the window, wave, stand up, sit up, look out the window, and do everything but take a nap. She had us cracking up all weekend doing this. No joke, she would do this for an hour at a time.
One happy girl.
Her Glam-ping buddy Maci stopped out for a bit, and caught the camping bug.
No nap Everlee. It was far too exciting outside, and this little girl didn't want to miss a thing.
That was also the theme for bedtime. Not sure exactly what it was, but Evs was up all three nights for hours at a time. Happy(once she was in bed with mommy and daddy), jabbering away, poking, singing, laughing, and once again doing everything but sleeping. Hopefully it was all of the excitement of being in a new place, and this won't be a pattern in the future. As cute and funny as she was from 1:00 a.m. -4:30 a.m., mommy and daddy were certainly tired when we got home. We needed another vacation, from our vacation.  But, it was all worth the quality time we had together. Fingers crossed for a good night sleep tonight in the Kneifl household.
