Successful drop offs
The past couple of weeks when Everlee is dropped off at preschool on Tuesday and Friday mornings, we have had no tears. It's such a relief seeing her excited to go, and hearing that she wants to stay, when she is picked up. I love hearing about her day, her friends, and her discoveries!

Back at the Science center
With cooler temps arriving, last week we started up our weekly trips back to the science center. Everlee sure has missed this activity!
When you arrive at the science center at 9:30, and they don't open til 10:00, due to fall hours, you have a snack outside and enjoy the fall day.
For about a half hour this lucky girl had the science center all to herself. So weird not seeing the place flooded with kiddos.

Day maker
My husband knows me so well!! In the midst of the craziest, busiest, most stressful weeks of my professional career, he surprises his girls with one our favorites! This man has a way of letting me get done what needs to get done, staying so quiet to allow me to focus, think, and plan, while stepping up with our family when I feel I have zero left in my tank, and showing his gentle kindness by doing such thoughtful little things. Letting me, know he is always there, and thinking about me, while never being intrusive, irritated, or resentful. Never asking for anything in return, never throwing guilt, and never ever once a complaint from his mouth. One of the many reasons he is the yin, to my yang, and I am so thankful for his peaceful, sweet, demeanor, and his genuine/ authentic soul. Lucky girl I am, and thankful Everlee has such a great role model. So hears a shout out to my man, who is simply just being the great husband, and father he always is. He is the best, and I am so appreciative he is who he is, and that he's ours;)

Zoo with my girl
With the big kids back in school, Evs and I hit up the zoo, and had enjoyed the peacefulness.
First thing she wanted to do, hit the playground, and she had it all to herself. Coptor mom was a bit more at ease not hovering, and letting her play freely, knowing she wouldn't get bulldozed by the bigger kiddos.
We watched Goldie playing with her durable plastic block, in her pool, and we were thoroughly entertained. So fascinating watching this beautiful, strong animal have fun:)
No more riding side by side on the Carousel. It's time for solo riding on the zebra!
Evs got to pick out a special gift, to remember our 2015 summer at the zoo. She choose her favorite animal, and a piece of candy, that was eaten in a millisecond.
for at least 15 mins. At first I was annoyed, I was ready to go. It was getting close to nap time. But then it made me stop, realize how important the little things are, and how something so simple, was so important to our girl. Taking time to watch her play and explore the world thru her eyes, made me so thankful I can experience these moments with our daughter. Tailgate
Our first tailgate of the season was the Iowa/ Iowa state game, and no nap Everlee and us big kids, had a great day with family and friends.
