Playtime at the zoo

We love our weekly zoo trips, and this week Everlee was all about the playground, sitting on the frog, hopscotch, and playing bongos.

And she's off!!

Make up artist or horror movie

Everlee got very creative with make up this morning. Love her obsession with make up, but this look may be a bit gruesome! 

Color stay Lipstick as eyeshadow and eyeliner, now that's a tough removal. Thank goodness for coconut oil, cuz baby soap didn't even budge her long lasting application:)

Too quiet

When your toddler is not in your line of vision, and you hear quietness, it's usually because they are doing something they shouldn't.

Swimming lessons

Two weeks ago today, Everlee started swimming lessons at Prairie Trail aquatic center, and wow was this an interesting and busy experience! Monday through Thursday from 1010 until 1045 we braved chilly and hot temperatures, wind, splashing, happiness, excitement, sadness, stubbornness, and fear. I really got a good insight to even more if our little girls personality. She is extremely independent, very cautious in water, likes things on her terms, and really needs time to adapt to a large group of children. Must be the only Child syndrome, and a result of having in home child care. We had our good classes, that consisted of warm weather, Ring around the Rosie, motorboat, free play, front floats, and going down the froggy slide. We also had our not so great classes that consisted of too much splashing, back floats, fully submerging underwater, 60° temperatures, and structure, that lead to  tears and meltdowns. There would be days of mommy I'm excited, and days of mommy don't want to. On the very last day of swimming lessons, I asked Everlee if she was happy or sad that they would be all done. Her repsonse was, momma I'm happy. Glad we got to experience this together, and thankful we both learned a few water skills, and tricks.

Zoo time

According to Everlee the parrot(macaw)

Is momma's favorite animal. Not sure where that came from, but we'll go with it.

Sea otters. Last time we were there, their home was closed for maintenance. Evs loved seeing these two so close up. 

Speaking of close up, look how close we are to the joeys. So cool that they roam freely, and came hopping by Us.!

Goldie in the left hand corner, in her cage. We found out that the following week she passed away. Rip beautiful girl.

Time to go home. Looks like she's about ready for her first time driving- am I right daddy and poppa k?? ;) 

Happy Birthday Coop and America

CThe Friday we arrived in storm lake was Coops birthday, then saturday was Americas bday. Everlee enjoyed celebrating coops birthday more than the 4th if July festivities. The parade sirens, noise, and overall commotion, was a bit overwhelming for Evs. She was glad her cousins were there for comfort, a distraction, and to share their parade goodies with her;)
